What's in my wash?

So I've spent the last 2 months working out like a maniac. As a result my laundry has been, well, smelly. I am a big fan of Tide. I don't know why though, I guess it was accessible in large amounts and fairly cheap. Recently I have been using Tide Sport. Garbage. Garbage garbage garbage. It didn't really clean so much as just left a lingering strong smell a la Febreeze ish. So here I am now OBSESSING over detergents. Then I had a realization.

What is IN my detergent? No, really. I have no clue. There isn't a label or even so much as an ingredients list on most detergent bottles. Why? I thought. The only reason I could think of was that these companies are using some really gnarly stuff to clean our clothes with. Turns out, the only company in the aisle that listed ingredients was Seventh Generation. Out of the flood of orange and blue, the scarcely stocked 2 rows of Seventh Generation was the only company that lists any kind of ingredients. I mean all Tide says is basically how to use, don't eat and test on a small area. What the hell?

I haven't had the chance to use the SG yet, the Asian in me will not let a few drops of Tide go to waste. I'll have to update later. In the meantime, someone get me some answers.
