I read the news online because it makes me feel somewhat connected and in the loop with the Bay Area. Increasingly, I have noticed quotes from the general public which not only shock and awe me ; but are shockingly awful. Like this:
"13-year-old Robert McCorvey, who lives in the area, says he saw paramedics trying to revive the woman.
"I seen them pressing on her stomach to see if she was alive still," said McCorvey."
I know 13 year old are capable of vocabulary skills than that. It's the little things. .
