The Life Being Sucked Out of My Car

My car is going to be 11 this year. I've been saying 12, I was wrong. Anyway, the little champion has over 190,000 miles and runs really well. There are really only a few cosmetic things I would like to change, other than that there are only a few minor maintenance issues. There is one problem though. WHich has nothing to do with the actual car. I blame my job. See, we're getting ready to begin filming again which means 50% of the people who work at the building have to park across the street at an apartment complex garage; on the topmost floor. The same arrangement was made last year. SO I know for a fact that driving up al those flights to the top and driving all the way down cuts my street gas mileage from around 26 mpg down to 19-21. That is huge!!! Normally I wouldn't complain because I do ride my bicycle to work but over the next few weeks I think more rain is expected and some days I have to leave at lunch. Its a good thing we haven't started filming. In fact I won't worry about it at all when we do start filming because we wont be allowed to leave at lunch. I guess I'm just shocked at the difference. Sheesh.
