Day One

Well, OK, It's not really Day One but It's one day too many already. The drive down to LA was quick and painless. It gave me a chance to reflect for six hours and twenty-seven minutes on the things I forgot. Like my cable to sync pictures, what's a blog without pictures? My swimsuit, not that I'll have time but the Baywatch beach is right frickin there. My warm UPS jacket, I forgot for whatever reason, that nights here are just as cold as SF.

I arrived in LA and had a nice calm dinner with my Godparents. They explained to me that the local neighborhood watch and law enforcement have nothing better to do than harass the "new people". Goodie. I'm in a pretty good spot; close to Trader Joe's (Oh, the month of memories), Costco Gas (One should never pay too much for gas), the beach (Hopefully I'll have time to surf) and of course Starbucks. I should note now that not only are there Starbuck's on every corner, Chipotle burrito seems to be the fav 'round these parts.

Work called and they want me in an hour earlier which is no biggie. Work is actually about a fifteen minute drive from where I am but I was just informed that it changes to forty five minutes during commute hours. I'm considering bringing my bicycle down this Christmas.

Today a crane tipped over on the 405 closing the freeway sending me on a lost adventure that cost me a half tank of gas two hours of misery. *sigh* LA. Well I guess I'd better sleep or something. More to come.
