I was doing some research on Lasik in the Los Angeles area because yes, I was just that bored. And it may be in my distant future. And by distant I mean when my bills disappear. I have been using a mixture of Google, word of mouth and of course, Yelp.
To me, and what I thought were a lot of people, my eyes are precious gooey balls filled with magical rods and cones. If anyone is going to be near it or if I'm going to pay to have them altered I want to pay a lot of money and get good quality. Apparently, this is not a shared requirement for the crazy people of LA. There are the expensive type seen here that run upwards to the $7000 mark. Then there are the cheap asses who are wanting to go blind the next decade or so, they go here. Right. $699 for both eyes. That's about as tempting as the radio ad I heard advertising a boob job and half off a tummy tuck, all for $3000. No. Wrong. Fail.
