The movie industry is funny. Everything happens and changes so unexpectedly and quickly. Just a few months ago this warehouse was a barren wasteland spotted with a few cameras, several computers and of course my decorations (yeah you heard me, MY decorations). Then it turned into a bustling workhouse filled with high powered Macs runnin Avid and FCP, PC's galore and dual screens to the heavens. You couldn't walk somewhere without seeing someone working on a part of the movie. Then, today, I realize hey there were like 10 computers and 15 people here, what happened. Apparently DLO (digital layout) and the editorial group with their fancy MACs are moving into the ranch near Santa Barbra where Zemekis lives. Day by day our little MoCap family dwindles down and the loss of catering and craft services is near.
While this may be good for my midsection, I fear that I have forgotten how to find food by myself and make eating decisions. Were still on til June and we know that there is no room for us at IMD north, so no permanent job is in sight. Well just have to see how this all works.
