Cirque and the Symphony

Granted, it has been a long time since I have been to the symphony. But I was raised with I would like to think, some kind of decency. When did whooping and wolf whistling become OK at a symphony? I thought it was rude. Yes the performances were awesome and the music was beautiful, but whooping and carrying on like a horny 15 year old at a strip club; not so great. I'm just sayin.
