Tiger Balm and White Flower
I adore, no LOVE the smell of Tiger Balm and White Flower oil. I grew up surrounded by the smell of these topical muscle pain remedies. Well, after my week of intense sports my muscles stopped responding. I was walking like an old lady by Friday morning and could not carry on to Muay Thai. In any case, I went to CVS and bought some Tiger Balm. I drove home expecting to immerse myself in the smells of my past. I was so disappointed when I opened up my plastic shrink wrapped personal time capsule of Tiger Balm. It has been Americanized! The smell was so muted I practically had to rub some in my nose to smell even a hint of the menthol. It also had another sweeter overtone, sweet like candy sweet. Oh. Gross. I am really close to throwing it out, just in anger. Guess they don't make things like they used to. I'm hoping if I go to a Ranch 99 or something they will carry the original non Americanized formula.
